Alexandria, Va., (April 2006) - If you’re a regular on I-395 passing through Springfield towards Alexandria, you’re probably wondering what’s going on at Marlo Furniture. For months now, the store has been hammering away with construction workers because Marlo Furniture is Changing its Face. That’s right, Marlo Furniture is remodeling and revitalizing its chain of four stores. The Marlo Forestville store was the first to change its face, and due to its overwhelming success, Marlo has committed to changing the face of all its stores. Once Alexandria is completed, the Rockville and Laurel stores are next. Marlo has made furniture buying much easier, and when the Alexandria store is complete, customers will have eight options from which to choose: Designer Avenue, Traditional Living, Relax and Recline, Mattress Express, Leather Studio, New Directions, and Modern Collections, and Kids’ Kingdom.
“Customers today have less time to spend on shopping. Our new concept of providing eight ‘stores’ will make it much easier for our customers to find exactly what they want,” said Neal Glickfield, president, Marlo Furniture. New merchandise will also be added such as a new line designed by Cristina Saralegui of The Cristina Show on Univision. Cristina has been noted as one of the most influential Hispanics in America by TIME magazine. “It’s exciting when you can bring on a big name like Cristina. Her new line of furniture is sure to attract a lot of attention,” said Mark Stuart, Vice President, Merchandising, Marlo Furniture. Marlo Furniture has a strong presence in the Washington, D.C. market. In addition to its four stores, a new store is slated to open in Chantilly, Va., and Marlo is building the D.C. area’s largest distribution and clearance center in Bowie, Md. According to Glickfield, Marlo is committed to improving the customer experience and this is just the beginning. Remodeling existing stores, creating new stores, incorporating new furniture lines, and building a new distribution and clearance center are already taking place. An improved customer care system has been developed to ensure that furniture is delivered on-time without problems, customer concerns and complaints are dealt with in a timely fashion, and that information is provided on proper care of purchased items. The future of Marlo Furniture is here and now. For more information, check out http://marlofurniture.com.
